# Limits and usage

> How messages and limits are counted, what doesn't count, and where to see your usage.

## Free

3 messages in any rolling 24 hours. A new app and each edit are one message each. A message you stop, or one that fails, doesn't use one up. Up to 12 messages a day can be started this way, so if you stop or retry many in a row, you may need to wait before sending more.

## Pro and Pro+

Two rolling windows, shown as percentages:

- a **5-hour limit**, so one burst of work can't use your whole week,
- a **weekly limit**.

What uses them depends on the work: a large app or a premium model uses more than a small edit with Draftship AI. The model picker shows roughly how much of your weekly limit a new app takes with each model. AI calls made by your published apps also count.

## What never counts

Cloning community apps, restoring versions, building and hosting. On the Free plan, messages you stop and messages that fail don't count either.

## Where to look

- The sidebar plan card and **Overview** show current usage and when it resets.
- **Usage** lists your recent activity and how much of the weekly limit each message used.

When a limit is reached, new messages are paused until it refills; your apps keep running. Deleting an app doesn't give back what it used.
