# Code tab

> Browse every file, and watch code being written live. Paid plans.


The **Code** tab is a read-only code editor with VS Code's Dark+ highlighting, a file explorer, tabs and a status bar.

- **While the AI writes**, the tab follows the file being written and scrolls with it. Click another file to stop following; **Follow live** resumes.
- **File names in the chat** open in the Code tab when clicked.
- **Managed files** (`lib/draftship.ts`, `lib/draftship-server.ts`) are shown but replaced on every build.

To change code, ask in the chat or export the project with [GitHub](/docs/developers/code/github-and-vercel) and edit it locally.
