# GitHub and Vercel

> On Pro+, push your app's code to GitHub and deploy it automatically to your own Vercel account.

## Connect your accounts

- **GitHub (Pro+):** In **Settings → Integrations**, choose **Connect** and approve access on GitHub.
- **Vercel (Pro+):** In **Settings → Integrations**, paste an access token for your account or team.

Access is stored encrypted, and you can disconnect at any time.

## Push to GitHub

Click **GitHub** in the editor header. The first push creates a repository named after your project (private if the project is private) with the complete runnable project; later pushes add a commit on the default branch.

## Deploy to Vercel

Click **Deploy**. Draftship uploads the project to a Vercel project named after yours and starts a production deployment. Your app's [secrets](/docs/logic/secrets) and its service key are passed to the deployment as environment variables.

After your first deployment, every successful build deploys automatically. To turn this off, clear **Auto-deploy** at the top of the project.

## Exported apps keep their backend

Exported code includes `.env.production` pointing the SDK at your app's backend, so the database, users, functions' data access and integrations keep working outside Draftship. Code you export is yours.
