# SEO and social sharing

> Control how your app appears in Google and when its link is shared, and check every page for SEO problems.

Open **Dashboard → SEO** to set how your app shows up in search results and link previews. Changes are live as soon as you save. No rebuild, no AI message.

## Settings

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | The blue headline in Google results and the browser tab of your home page. Aim for 10–60 characters. |
| Description | The text under the title in results. Aim for 50–160 characters. |
| Keywords | A few terms that describe the app. |
| Social image | The picture shown when someone shares your link (1200×630). Click **Generate** to have AI make one. |
| Hide from search engines | Asks search engines not to index the app, e.g. while it's still in progress. |

**Write with AI** reads your home page and suggests a title, description and keywords. Review them, then save.

The home page always uses your settings. Other pages keep their own title and description and use yours only where they have none. Social tags apply to every page.

## Sitemap and robots.txt

Every app gets `/sitemap.xml` (all pages, except ones with a dynamic address like `/posts/[id]`) and `/robots.txt` automatically. With **Hide from search engines** on, both tell crawlers to stay away. Branch previews are never indexed.

## SEO check

**Run SEO check** loads each page the way search engines see it and reports:

- missing or badly sized titles and descriptions
- pages without a main heading (h1), or with several
- images without alt text
- missing language and mobile settings
- pages with very little server-rendered text
- slow pages and pages that don't load

Problems that need code changes have a **Fix with AI** button that sends a precise request to the chat.
