# Adding AI to your app

> Let your app call AI for text, structured data and images, and understand how these calls count against your limits.

Your app can use AI directly — summarizing notes, writing replies, extracting data, generating images.

## Ask for it in the chat

"When a user pastes a job description, use AI to extract the title, company and salary into the form." Draftship wires it up with the SDK's `InvokeLLM`.

## Who can use it

AI features count toward your limits, so from the browser they only work for signed-in users, up to 60 AI requests and 10 images per hour each. To offer AI to visitors who haven't signed in, ask for it in a backend function with its own limit.

## What's available

| Integration | Returns |
|---|---|
| `InvokeLLM` | Text, or a JSON object when a schema is given. |
| `GenerateImage` | `{ url }` of a generated image stored with your app. |

See [Common SDK uses](/docs/developers/sdk/common-uses) for code.

## Who pays

AI calls made by your app count against **your** (the owner's) limits, not your visitors'. On the Free plan an app can make 30 AI calls per 24 hours. On paid plans calls draw from your 5-hour and weekly limits; when a limit is reached, calls fail with a clear message until it refills.
